Jim is a natural storyteller, team activator, and an award-winning communications strategist. He carries a long track record of driving campaign wins, earning media placements, building partnerships, mobilizing memberships, and leading communication strategies across the finish line.

His professional career began in New York City as a lobbyist and strategic consultant managing government affairs, political elections, communications, and fundraising strategies for a wide range of clients, including Clean Water Fund, US Rep Hakeem Jeffries, the Shirley Chisholm Legacy of Light Awards, US Rep Yvette Clarke, Assemblymember Dan Quart, Senator Robert Jackson, Communication Workers of America, Mississippi Freedom 50th Foundation, Toys for Tots, and more. 

Eventually, Jim returned to his hometown of Atlanta to work at the State Capitol.  Jim served the Georgia General Assembly through his role in the Senate where he received a Senate Resolution honoring his service with the Secretary of the Senate and an official commendation from the President of the Senate & Luitenant Governor of Georgia, Casey Cagle.

Taking on a new challenge, Jim began consulting for corporations, nonprofits, associations, coalitions, and advocacy groups to advise clients on improving their systems while implementing effective strategies for fundraising campaigns, gaining earned media, influencing public narratives, driving policy decisions, mobilizing coalitions, winning ballot initiatives, and managing federal and state election campaigns.

Most recently, Jim has been sought after to implement innovative, collaborative outreach tools and strategies to improve media relations, partnership development, and membership mobilization strategies to build winning communications and development infrastructures for Healthcare and Education Equity-focused coalitions and nonprofit groups.

His clients have been wide-ranging and his public relations efforts have earned coverage in various publications and speaking opportunities, including the TEDx, New York Times, Politico, New York Post, New York Daily News, the Observer, Oprah, Bloomberg, WSB, FOX 5, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Health Affairs, JAMA, the Brown University Health Journal,  Aging News Network, Hospice News, and more.

Jim has raised millions of dollars for mission-driven organizations through innovative individual donor outreach strategies, major gift solicitation, grant awards, foundation partnerships, changemaker award ceremonies, national healthcare summits, education conferences, and fundraising galas.

Jim serves as a Senior Advisor and on the Board of Directors for multiple Equity-driven nonprofits:  Villagr Co., specializing in Art Supplies for Title 1 Elementary Classrooms; The Whale Tale Foundation / Belouga, an Education Equity and Access-driven nonprofit; and a Healthcare-Equity storytelling coalition, A Beautiful Crossing. 

Jim graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Political Science and International Relations.  He consistently won the International Model United Nations Conference's highest honor of 1st Place Position Paper and 1st Place Outstanding Delegate for four consecutive years.
